Ellis Park running today (July 4) but WITHOUT fans because of maintenance problem

HENDERSON, Ky. (Thursday, July 4, 2024) – Today’s opening day card at Ellis Park Racing & Gaming will unfortunately be run without patrons due to unscheduled grandstand maintenance issue.

          “This was a really difficult decision we had to make this morning but due to an unscheduled maintenance issue we will have to conduct today’s race card without patrons,” General Manager Matt Pressley said. “We are still going to run all nine races as scheduled. We will update everyone as soon as we can when the facility will be back open to fans.”

          Fans can watch and wager on all the races today at Ellis Park onwww.twinspires.com, FanDuel TV and the Churchill Downs LIVE app on smart TVs.

Jennie Rees is a communications and advocacy specialist in the horse industry who spent 32 years covering horse racing for The (Louisville) Courier-Journal before taking a corporate buyout.
