Live racing returning to Turfway Friday

Nine-race card includes $180K Late Pick 5 carryover

FLORENCE, Ky. (Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025) – After a brief pause caused by winter weather, live racing is scheduled to return Friday at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming with a nine-race program beginning at 5:55 p.m. (all times Eastern) The highlight of the evening will be a $180,036 carryover in the Late Pick 5, giving fans an enticing wagering opportunity as the action resumes under the lights.

Racing was canceled on Wednesday and Thursday due to the remnants of a winter storm. This weekend’s schedule also features racing on Saturday beginning at 5:55 p.m. and a special Sunday card starting at 1 p.m. Sunday’s program will serve as a makeup for Wednesday’s cancellation, with the full scheduled card moving to that day.

Turfway Park officials continue to monitor weather forecasts for the area and will provide updates to the racing schedule if necessary.
