We’re raffling off three TVs to help Odanis Acuna’s family
The Kentucky HBPA’s foundation is raffling off one 40-inch and two 32-inch televisions, with proceeds going to the family of Odanis Acuna, the 42-year-old veteran exercise rider killed Saturday morning in a training accident at Churchill Downs. Acuna, nicknamed Cuba for his homeland, leaves a wife and three young children.
The raffle chances are $10 apiece and can be purchased at the Kentucky HBPA office, 3729 S. Fourth Street in Louisville across from the track’s backstretch, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. ET or from Julio Rubio, the HBPA’s backstretch services coordinator and Hispanic liaison, on the Churchill Downs backside.
The drawing will be Tuesday, Nov. 27 at noon. The three winners need not be present to win. Checks can be made payable to the KYHBPF, the Kentucky Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Foundation.
